Bruins, Celtics Gear Up for Playoffs

The Boston Bruins fell short 2-0 in yesterday’s Game 1 battle against the Montreal Canadiens, starting this year’s playoff campaign slower than expected on their own ice. They’ll look to regroup on Saturday with a win back at the TD Garden before the series shifts to Montreal for Games 3 and 4.

“You look back at last year, we learned a lot. We were up 3-0 on Philadelphia, and every game is a new game,” said Bruins forward Milan Lucic.” You’ve got to turn the page. So we just got to get refocused, re-energized and focus on Game 2.”

The Boston Celtics are set to begin their quest for banner #18 this Sunday against the New York Knicks.  They are 3-0 against the Knicks this year, defeating them once at home and twice on the road. Despite falling to the #3 seed in the East, the team is well rested and ready to contend for another title.

Team president of basketball operations Danny Ainge is more confident this time around in comparison to last season, saying “I believe in these guys. I believe in what’s inside them and what’s made them great throughout their careers…and I think they believe in themselves.” Check here for Bruins and Celtics playoff schedules at the Garden.
